Important: By using our services, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before engaging our services.
1. Definitions
In these Terms and Conditions:
- "VERGO", "we", "us", or "our" refers to VERGO Events Ltd
- "Client" refers to any person or organisation engaging our services
- "Staff" refers to event professionals supplied by VERGO
- "Event" refers to any function, gathering, or occasion for which services are provided
- "Services" refers to event staffing, management, and related services
2. Service Agreement
A binding agreement is formed when:
- We accept your booking request in writing (including email)
- You pay the required deposit
- You agree to these terms and conditions
All bookings are subject to staff availability. We reserve the right to decline any booking at our discretion.
3. Booking & Payment
Deposits: A 50% deposit is required to secure your booking. The remaining balance is due 7 days before the event date.
Payment Methods: We accept bank transfer and major credit/debit cards.
Late Payment: Invoices not paid within the agreed terms may incur a late payment fee of 8% above the Bank of England base rate.
4. Cancellation Policy
Cancellations must be made in writing. The following fees apply:
- More than 14 days before: Full refund minus 10% administration fee
- 7-14 days before: 50% of total booking fee
- Less than 7 days: 100% of total booking fee
- Same day / no-show: 100% of total booking fee plus any additional costs incurred
5. Client Responsibilities
The Client agrees to:
- Provide accurate event details, including venue, times, and requirements
- Ensure a safe working environment for all staff
- Provide adequate facilities (break areas, refreshments, etc.)
- Notify us of any changes to the event at least 48 hours in advance
- Not engage our staff directly for 12 months following an event
6. Staff Conduct & Standards
All VERGO staff are:
- Personally vetted by our founder
- Professionally trained and experienced
- DBS checked where required
- Covered by our public liability insurance
If you have any concerns about staff performance, please notify us immediately so we can address the issue.
7. Liability & Insurance
VERGO Events Ltd maintains comprehensive public liability insurance of £5,000,000.
Our liability is limited to the total value of the booking. We are not liable for:
- Indirect or consequential losses
- Loss of profits or business opportunities
- Damage caused by third parties
- Events beyond our reasonable control (force majeure)
8. Intellectual Property
All content on our website, including logos, images, and text, is the property of VERGO Events Ltd and may not be used without written permission.
9. Confidentiality
Both parties agree to keep confidential any information disclosed during the course of business. This includes event details, pricing, and any proprietary information.
10. Dispute Resolution
In the event of a dispute, both parties agree to:
- Attempt to resolve the matter through good-faith negotiation
- If unsuccessful, submit to mediation before pursuing legal action
- These terms are governed by English law and subject to the jurisdiction of English courts
11. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Changes will be posted on our website and take effect immediately. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
